Top 15 for May & June

I am sure I will not post for the rest of June due to vacation. So here is our Top 15 for May and 1/2 of June....

15. Summer is here!

14. Krispy Kreme Doughnuts re-opening.

13. Jordon and Katie moving back to AZ after completing dental school. Congratulations!

12. Travis completed his third and final year of Cub Scout Day Camp! Cade missed it by a few weeks and gets to go next year for the first time. :)

11. While Braden was gone to scout camp, Darin had a few days of boredom, with out his brother around. He actually said he missed Braden. I asked him if that meant he would be nice to him when he got home. He of course said yes. I think it lasted about 5 minutes!!

10. Don gave a talk for Father's Day, and did a great job. But he sang the last verse of "O My Father". I'm sure the people around us thought we were so cruel, because we were all laughing, Kambree actually started it when she heard him singing, Braden was hiding behind a Hymn book. It was really funny, luckily Don said he didn't hear or notice!!

9. Mckell was writing down her cousins name. She was asking me how to spell each of them. When we got to Cooper, she said "Mom, I know how to spell Cooper because it is on the big green sign." (We live near Cooper Rd.)

8. Braden turning 12 and receiving the Aaronic Priesthood. He also survived his first year at scout camp, which was "BORING".

7. Travis and Cade are both attending summer school. They have a week and a half left, this is what I've heard so far....
Travis does not like to read, so he says to me, "Mom if I do better in reading in 5th grade, will I not have to take a reading class next summer?"
Cade says, "Mom my teacher says my handwriting is perfect!"

6. Darin graduating from Gilbert Junior High! Wow...a freshman next year.

5. On Memorial Day, Darin, Braden and Travis went swimming all day and got sunburned. Braden with his fair skin was the worst, he was in such pain he had to go without a shirt for a few days, he then blistered, scabbed, and peeled.

4. Cade asks me one day, "Mom when is dad going to die?" "Oh, probably when he is about 80." "Well, how old will you be when dad dies?" "Oh, about 72." "Well, when dad dies will you buy me a puppy?"

3. Darin's baseball team lost 1 game all season. They lost their one and only playoff game. But fortunately the team they lost to didn't have enough players to continue on in the tournament, so the Yankees were asked to play. They ended up WINNING the tournament! Darin was not able to play in the final game. He left for a super activity with our ward the same day. (ask me about the details of that ordeal.) CONGRATS YANKEES!!!

2. I have been 'making' Kambree get in the water and swim. Today when I asked her if she wanted to go swimming or stay home and take a nap. She opted for the nap!

1. To sum it ALL up.....school is over, summer school, swimming, HOT, cub scout day camp, scout camp, super activity, EFY, HOT, grandmas house, sleepovers, cousins, HOT, library, reading (even if it is forced), chores, Father's Day, lots of tomatoes and zucchini from the garden, FOOD (always hungry), teasing, "I'm bored!", HOT, excitment to go to Utah and Idaho, fly fishing, sleeping in, staying up late, watching movies AND school starts August 6th, but whose counting?
